I approach the act of photographing any subject as a documentarian.
I have a keen eye for detail, & I am skilled at capturing the small unexpected moments along the journey to achieving the vision. There is a story to tell, but it must be allowed to unfurl n due time.
In my photo work I tend to focus on contrast and shadows. My work is characterized by soft lighting, and warm tones, to create images that evoke a sense of intimacy and vulnerability.
Foxspit, or Maria, is a multi-disciplinary photographer who has been working with the medium for 7 years. An analog enthusiast and specializes in Polaroid, 35mm + 120 film as well as digital formats.
I live in Southern Maine & work all over the greater New England area, as well as New York City.
